Green Screen of Death?? :O
Hiya,
to be honest, I really hate iOS4.0
If you haven’t upgraded, dont.
4.0 with wallpaper and backgrounding enabled = slow as hell :O
Battery = shitty (100% to 20% in one hour on safari WTF??)
RAM = crap (can’t run mail and safari at the same time for more than 10 minutes…)
3.0 is far better + you get all the 4.0 features anyway with JBed apps.
Also, there appears to be a common phenomenon known as “the green screen of death” that happens to MOST iphone/pod users when the battery runs out.
The next time you try rebooting it, you get stuck on a nice lime green screen. And you stay stuck.
I’ve been able to fix this problem by force rebooting my iPod (hold power button + home button for 15 seconds, let go of home button and keep holding on to home button until it reboots) 6 or 7 times. It’s not fun.
This is supposedly caused by “battery faults” (says google) or something. But it’s only happening now I’ve upgraded to 4.0 -__-
Yeah anyway, don’t try downgrading cuz you will get an error during the restore process (20 or something).

I too thought it was a battery related issue but then last night I got the GSOD with my iPhone charging from my iMac… I was tethering to the iPad at the time so I’m wondering if perhaps the battery was draining out of the iPhone more quickly than it was replenishing?
Luckily for me, I wasn’t halfway into downloading a 2GB file on the iPad that I had to begin all over again. Oh wait, I was
